Filippo Ricca, sometimes fricca, sometimes rodo. Satirical author, freelance graphic designer and artist.
I was born in Rome in 1971 and I live and work in Aubervilliers, next to Paris.
Before moving to France about ten years ago I did some things: among the most importants, a blog of daily drawings, a long series of on_ and off_line collaborations, some self-productions, some exhibitions, and some awards I won. A path sometimes bright, always precarious.
Once here, I progressively pushed everything away, continuing to publish only sporadically, and working full time for a decade as a web designer.
In 2020, after a series of radical changes, I decided to start over. All out. Action Sauvage.
One: collect and sort the pieces (trying to), recompose the past in a savage archive.
Some data that is too old is lost forever, and my old blog is now inaccessible to me, since google decided that it doesn’t longer belong to me.
Two: stop the dispersion of the drawings published here and there and open a new blog, trying to collect what I still do sometimes, starting 2021.
Three: propose the current graphic production, a new language and a new me: the wild prints of the Atelier Sauvage.
Therefore.
This site is a folder: to hold together the me of before and the me of now, the memory and the present.
This site is a showroom, with many things to see, and someone to order.
This site is still an half of me: the other, the freelance graphic designer, is here > filipporicca.com
